Country Wellness with Bicester Village

February 10, 2018

For my first trip back to London since moving to Dubai in October, there couldn’t have been a more perfect way to ease me back into the hectic city, than a night in the countryside doing all things wellness and leisure with my sister and Bicester Village.

We drove into the village super early for a breakfast at Bicester Village, followed by yoga and a little cycling session, spa treatments at Bamford Haybarn Spa and finally, a cooking class at Daylesford Cookery School.

Paid partnership with Bicester Village

We started off our day at Bicester Villages’ apartment, a dedicated space for events, personal shopping and lounging for VIP guests. After a delicious healthy breakfast, we got into our Lulu Lemon gear and began a yoga class before heading out to the village for a cycling session at Rapha followed by a very dangerous 20 minutes of shopping. Natalya and I went a little crazy at Saint Laurent and Balenciaga.

Following our super zen morning, we drove to Daylesford Farm for an epic lunch and then headed to the spa for a massage. It was probably the best way to experience a day in the countryside, especially when our massages concluded with the most stunning sunset.

The next day, after waking up in the most quaint hotel in the Cotswolds, The Wild Rabbit, we headed back to Daylesford Farm for a cooking class in their ‘kitchen goals’ cookery school. We learned how to make a fish broth, (we filleted our own fish for this, which had me really impressed with myself!) shakshuka and a raw chocolate chia pudding.
We also had an opportunity to explore the farm and meet some of the local barnyard animals before doing a little grocery shopping in the farm shop.
It wasn’t my first time visiting Daylesford, so I already knew what to expect when it came to deliciously tempting fresh produce, from puddings to cheese and fruit and veg.
It was the perfect way to conclude the most relaxing 48 hours!
We left the cookery class with a certificate and recipe book of the dishes we had learned to create.
