Road Trip to Bath

April 14, 2017

Last month I joined Carrie on a visit to a city very close to her heart and home. She was invited by Bath Tourism to feature a shopping guide on her beautiful blog, and of course, invited me along so that I could finally visit her hometown and the city right next to it.

For the journey down, we decided against the train and instead took it as an opportunity to experience somewhat of a road trip together.

Mercedes Benz kindly sent me one of their newest models, the S500 Coupe so that we could show up in style and honestly, the drive to Bath wasn’t that bad at all. It took us just over 3 hours (including a breakfast stop and a pee/snack stop) and even though it was pouring with rain, the drive was so much fun. We listened to music (or argued over which station to put on, as a more accurate description), ate junk food along the ride and took advantage of all the sans husbands time to catch up on girly gossip.

Once we got to Bath, there was not enough time to do everything we wanted. It is just full of beauty, independent shops and café’s, history and just so much to see and do. I had the best day shopping my way through the city, walking around and enjoying the bursts of sunshine as well as sampling coffee from some of Bath’s finest baristas. If you’re planning a visit, I’ve noted some of my favourite must do’s below, but this is just a peak at what you can expect. It’s honestly such a gem and I’m so pleased I finally discovered it!

Thank you for the ride Mercedes
