YVES SAINT LAURENT
My trip to Marrakech last month was purely for work purposes. Jenai and I have collaborated with our wedding planners, Boutique Souk (whom I’m so proud to call our new friends) over the launch of their Instagram profile and website.
Although we were mainly behind our laptops working away at their stunning home in the Palmeraie, Rosena definitely made sure that I saw parts of Marrakech I hadn’t experienced during my previous three trips and so a visit to the botanical gardens, better known as the Majorelle Gardens was on the cards. This magical place was bought by Yves Saint Laurent in 1980 and remained a constant inspiration to him during his time as a designer, after exploring all that is has to offer, there’s really no wonder why he was so in love with it. It’s so rich in life and full of vivid beauty.
I didn’t want to lug my camera around with me, and it’s not so easy to convince my hubby to take pictures of me anyway, so intentions of blogging about this were not made, however, I did end up with a few cool pictures from my iPhone (hence the dip in photo quality), so I thought I’d share some of them with you, to hopefully inspire a visit to this magnificent place if you ever find yourself in Marrakech.
