After hibernating in the house for three days, Reem and I decided to venture to Notting Hill with some friends on the hunt for daylight, food and piercings. If we had one thing to tick off during my trip to London, it was that I was finally going to get my ears pierced, after attempting to do so in New York last year (well, 2015, but you know what I mean) and Reem decided to join me.
Our day began with coffee and a quick catch-up with the girls over lunch at Electric Diner. Reem introduced me to their ‘honey fried chicken’ and oh-dear-Lord if you ever find yourself there, order it. It was divine. After spending far too much time enjoying the warmth inside, we headed over to Love Hate Social Club around the corner. At this point, all of the girls (five of us in total) decided that we wanted to get piercings and inside the store, it was the funniest scenario of all of us faffing around and discussing what to get, where to get it and what studs to go for.

It took us about 45 minutes to get organised and finally we all got our piercings done one by one. Love Hate Social Club is best known for ear styling because of the beautiful jewellery they stock from BVLA, and even though it’s a little pricey (I paid £400 for my pieces in total) it’s completely justified due to the high quality and design. I opted for two additional piercings on my right ear, and one addition on my left and chose some really delicate and minimal studs in a mix of yellow and white gold. The overall look is exactly what I wanted.
Reem took it slow and went for just two additions on her right ear, she chose a really pretty yellow gold and turquoise piece which I’m so in love with along with a teeny tiny stud for the middle piercing.
