PARIS / STYLE

If you’ve been a reader or follower of Five Five Fabulous and my Instagram, you’ll know that as well as working hard on the blog with Reem, I’ve also had a full time job at Faux Consultancy since moving to Dubai in 2013. I’ve had the most amazing three years working alongside a team I’m proud to call friends and a roster of clients I’ve watched grow from up and comers to established names both in the region and internationally.
There comes a time however in your career when you’re just ready for something new. I wanted to challenge myself and step out of my comfort zone so I decided to officially resign from Faux, I’m ready for the next step in my career and so excited to share it with you all.
BUT FIRST, PARIS
Before I officially sent out my final emails from Faux, the team and I headed to Paris to host the second successful season of the Faux Showroom.
We spent eight days in our lovely showroom location in Place Vendôme, and I dipped in and out of meetings to attend a couple of shows with Reem but mostly I would escape the cold into Chanel or Zara for some retail therapy against the cold. Evidently it’s quite dangerous for your bank account if your hotel is located on Rue Cambon. Chanel was my neighbour, we became firm friends.
One of the things I’ll miss most about working with Faux is having access to so many talented Middle Eastern designers. I felt proud to support my friends and clients, House of Nomad during Paris Fashion Week by rocking this gorgeous coat from their AW16 to the Elie Saab show.
