TRAVEL / MARRAKECH

Being in Marrakech for the first time meant that I had a huge wish list of things I wanted to experience. However Jenai and I were only there for only four days and we did our best to spend them wisely.
Knowing it wasn’t going to be my last trip to Morocco, I didn’t attempt to squeeze every last thing into an itinerary. Instead, we decided to start with the number one ‘to do’ on our list, exploring the souks of Marrakech. Thankfully, we had the benefit of hearing about the wonderful team at Boutique Souk, who helped us experience the medina quarter in a super easy and enjoyable way.
They organised a guide, who helped us find what we were looking for and tackle the huge, maze like souks with ease. We spent hours walking around, shopping and discovering some serious hidden gems that I can’t wait to re-visit. The amount of beautiful ceramics and carpets on offer in Marrakech is enough to tempt into making a move to Morocco full time.
During our four day trip this was really the only one we spent discovering the city, but like I said before, I’m already excited to head back and discover plenty more.
