FESTIVAL / STYLE
FOOD, FOOD & MORE FOOD
By Reem Kanj / Photography Reem Kanj & Natasha Danson
This past weekend, I finally attended my first festival, and to prepare for the occasion, I headed over to Bicester Village earlier in the week to pick out a few essentials. Namely a pair of Hunter wellies to make sure I was safe guarded against all festival clichés of getting ridiculously muddy and gross.
Thankfully, neither of those two adjectives came into play during my time at The Big Feastival, after a week of solid rain, the sun finally came out to shine for my first ever festival experience, which meant that my TOMS sunnies came in very handy.
Now before you think I was moshing it up in some pit listening to music I’ve never heard before, full disclaimer, this was more of a food festival. Me and my best friend Natasha ate our way around Alex James’ farm and enjoyed the most chilled day surrounded by adorable families and tons of delicious street food samplings from the many vendors on site.
If you’re a festival noob then I highly recommend this one, especially if you’re a fan of the country, as the scenic 1 and half hour train journey from London Paddington was worth it alone.
Special thanks to Bicester Village for the hospitality.
