KEEP IT CASUAL

I can count on my one hand how many skirts and dresses I own. I love the idea of them, but I can’t seem to shake my incessant need to remain casual at all times. Not sure if it’s laziness or just pure lack of enthusiasm for the feminine side of my sartorial personality, I rarely make the effort, but hey, you can’t knock a girl for trying.
So in saying that, I’d love to share a few tips for anyone else out there who finds it difficult to reach out for the midi’s, mini’s or dresses.
For this specific look, I found that keeping this pleated midi skirt casual was my best bet. I paired it with a boyfriend T-shirt, my Chanel Boy bag and new Gianvito Rossi heels, which were only worn because I had to justify to myself why I bought them. I later changed into a pair of Nike sneakers and in all honesty thought that pairing rocked way more than the heels.
However if you do find yourself up for styling some of your favourite shoes, balancing things out with minimal accessories and natural hair and make up is always a good way of still keeping things casual.
