When Reem and I were in Paris, we made sure to schedule in a date with one of our friends, Carin. You all may know her as she has one of the most beautifully curated Instagram’s and blogs, Paris in Four Months. She was such a sweetheart and gave us the lowdown on where to go and what to do during our stay.

Although Paris is familiar territory for both my sister and I, we’re always there for work and know all the usual spots, but this time we wanted a local’s touch so we took Carin’s advice and headed to Le Marais for our last day in the city.

The weather was finally on our side, (it was the same day Reem stuffed her face with a giant stick of candy floss), and we walked absolutely everywhere. Our first spot was Ob-La-Di, the cutest little coffee spot where we shared a plate of avocado on toast and took some pictures. We then walked around checking out all the cute little stores until we found ourselves stumbling upon the Hôtel de Sully which led into Places de Vosges. We basked in the sunshine with cones of sorbet until we got too lazy to do anything else. It was perfect.

If you’re ever in the city, Le Marais is definitely worth a visit, it shows you a whole new side of Paris. Be sure to check out some of our Top Tips below, for when you do find yourself in the area.

WHAT TO DO

A few things to make note of.

Just walk around. Le Marais is so pretty and you can get lost for hours with a coffee or tea in hand enjoying the views.

Go to Ob-La-Di for the most delicious avocado toast.

Have a picnic at Place de Vosges.

Visit  the Hôtel de Bèthune-Sully, one of the most beautiful Louis XIII buildings in Paris.

Try L’As Du Fallafel. A fallafel spot that we didn’t get a chance to try unfortunately, but apparently they are delicious.
