It’s not easy trying to think of ways to be extra dutiful at this time of year, so I decided to take things back to basics as it’s important to remember that good deeds come in all shapes and sizes. So as part of our latest project in collaboration with Coca-Cola for their 12 Good Deeds of Christmas campaign, we’ve created a little DIY on a pop up Christmas Card. The perfect way to show your family, friends or neighbours that their annual holiday greeting was more then just a last minute stop at the nearest newsagent.
We’ll be posting another one of our good deeds closer to Christmas but in the mean time you can get involved too by sharing your good deeds on twitter or Instagram with the hashtag #GoodDeeds.
What you’ll need:
-Paper Christmas tree ornament
-Gold or silver markers
-Mini stars and circles
-Small pieces of card to decorate the front
-Place a small dot of glue on the edges of one side of your paper tree and place firmly on one side of the card. Repeat for the other side.
-Draw the outline and fill in a gold star on top of the tree once it’s been put in place.
-Put a small amount of glue on to the back of your stars and circle decorations and place on the corners of the tree. Use the remaining pieces to decorate the space around the tree or leave blank for your personal message.
-Write your holiday greeting on the front of a different coloured piece of card and decorate with some gold mesh or paper stars and place on the front of the card.
-Give to whoever you like and spread the holiday cheer!
