I may have pushed myself to the limit running a super hilly half marathon, spent $50 on chocolate and peanut butter alone, forgot to take a picture of the Golden Gate Bridge (let alone go and see it), but San Francisco still stole my heart.
From the rainbow flags in Castro to the most delicious ice cream at Bi Rite Creamery in Mission and the fresh seafood at Waterfront Restaurant on the pier, this City has so much to offer (and not just for foodies and fans of rainbows), it even has in-stock Céline trio’s at Macy’s, (in all the colours!)
I can’t wait to head on a plane and explore it some more, this time without a 13.1 mile run to distract me from taking pictures of the beautiful suburban scenery, and of course, so I can get my hands on some more of that £10 a bar sea salt dark chocolate. Yum.
My quick guide of where to eat consists of the following: Dinner at AQ in Mission, order the Carrot tartare, it’s delicious. Lunch at Waterfront on the pier, order the crab sandwich, seafood linguini or fresh oysters. Dessert and ice cream at Bi-Rite Creamery (there was a queue around the block for this place but it was so worth it, and if you’re wandering where I spent the $50 on chocolates and peanut butter, it was at the Bi-Rite Market, it’s a foodie’s dream in there.
