Day five of London Fashion Week arrives and there is a slight atmosphere of relief settling around us. Everyone is prepping for Milan and the shows at Somerset House are coming to a close, here’s what our schedule looked like for the day:
10am: Head to The Apartment to get beautified by Wella and BECCA London.
11am: Make my way to the Savoy to take my seat at the Roksanda Ilincic show.
12pm: Pop into the LiliYang Exhibition in The Savoy.
1pm: Meet Natalya back at The Apartment and catch up on some emails and tweets on our Blackberrys.
2pm: Have a delicious lunch courtesy of Roti Chai at The Apartment.
5pm: Make our way to Dover St to snap some style posts.
6:30pm: Attend the Tom McGee ‘Swans and I Dream’ private viewing at The Arts Club on Dover St.
Here’s what we wore: Natalya paired a stunning tweed biker jacket from Warehouse with a maxi tee and jeans from Zara. She wore her Topshop sneakers and carried a 3.1 Phillip Lim satchel, accessorising with jewellery by Miquella and Astley Clarke and sunglasses by Marc by Marc Jacobs.
I decided to keep things casual yet again for today and paired a wool blend pencil skirt from H&M (similar here) with a simple grey tee and my two tone jacket from Zara. I wore boots by Hoss Intropia and carried a simple leather cross body from Zara. I accessorised with a Miquella multi-chain bracelet and Toy Watch.
The Roksanda Ilincic show was set in the stunning Savoy Hotel, even though I had an amazing second row seat, it was virtually impossible to capture a good shot of the models so do excuse the lack of visuals. Highlights from the show were definitely the oversized clutches.
Last season I was introduced to the gorgeous brand of LiliYang and wore their infamous IDA bag during LFW. This season I was so excited to see these gorgeous pieces re-worked in some seriously chic colour ways. I’m still dreaming of the two tone black and navy bags and leather business card holder. See more from the brand here.
Natalya and I have been raving about how much of a lifesaver The Apartment has been over Fashion Week. It’s proven to be a real haven for us, we really miss getting our hair and make up done every day! The Wella team are so talented and Nicki from BECCA knows exactly what kind of make up suits us. They are amazing brands and if you aren’t using them as part of your daily beauty regimes, we would suggest introducing them as soon as possible! Lavazza coffee and their beautiful machines were a great wake up call in between shows and who can forget the delicious Afternoon Tea treats courtesy of Aubaine? Thank you Abi for being such an amazing host over LFW, you deserve some kind of prestigious blogger medal.
Photographer Tom McGee created a coffee table book filled with images from a series named ‘Swans and I Dream’. The photographs are absolutely stunning, all taken at night time, the contrast between the black backdrop and beautiful white swans is just out of this world. I fully recommend buying the book.
Natalya, Zahra and I having some Instagram fun in the ladies room at the Arts Club.
